Development of in vitro diagnostic medical technology capable of drug safety assessment by simulating human immune responses based on advanced microphysiological systems.

Problem

Microphysiological systems advanced to the level of mimicking individual human organs, enabling the evaluation of drug side effects and enhancing patient safety.

Innovation

Development and clinical trials of in vitro diagnostic medical devices using advanced microphysiological systems that simulate human immune responses with direct use of patient specimens.

Utilization

Reduction of healthcare R&D costs; utilizing organ-on-a-chip technology can enhance consistency between non-clinical and clinical trials, enabling a cost reduction of approximately 10–26% in biopharmaceutical R&D.
