The global medical device market size is about $409.4 billion (as of 2019). In the case of the medical device industry in South Korea, the development of advanced medical devices is rapidly increasing, interlocked with the fourth industrial revolution including AI and robots.

The " One-stop Service Center for Medical Device Industry" aims to support the rapid market entry of newly developed medical devices and provides customized services throughout the entire cycle from medical device development to market entry, by establishing an integrated office of five ministries and institutions related to entering the medical device market.

When a company develops a new product, the fact that there are many related ministries and institutions, including MFDS, NECA, HIRA, and KHIDI, and the process is complicated is considered to be a big factor in the delay in its entry into the market. Therefore, the Center aims to support and improve this in an integrated manner and contribute to the expansion of Korean medical devices into the global market through the support for overseas market development.

Also, through the integrated consulting program of the 'One-stop Service Center for Medical Device Industry', we hope that the service will help early start-ups and researchers to solve practical questions arising in the product development process and to develop products that can enter the medical device market early.
