Many Scottish universities have been involved in successful drug discovery collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Examples include the Fujisawa Institute of Neuroscience in Edinburgh, the Cohen/Downes consortium in Dundee, and the Yoshitomi Institute for Neuroscience in Glasgow. The Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde created PharmaLinks to facilitate interactions with companies through drug discovery collaborations. The talk will present case studies of recent successes and current opportunities in several therapeutic areas.
