Summary

Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery(NOTES) is issued in current state of the surgery. NOTES means the surgical method for surgical tools and endoscope to access lesion through mouth, virgin or colon. NOTES gives many advantages to patients but gives difficulties to the surgeons because of flexibility of endoscope and surgical tools. The overtube adapted shape locking mechanism is required for stable surgical tool path and endoscope path. This technology suggests the overtube with shape locking mechanism having large enduring force and flexibility.

Remarkable

The overtube for NOTES should have small outer diameter and large enduring force. We sugget the method to contact slider and stopper for rigidity. This mechanism is evaluated to be better than other mechanismes theoritically and experimentally in terms of large enduring force and flexibility.
