Summary

- Technology development background National Statistical Office investigated that in 2018, Korea's population over 65 years old will approach 14%, and in 2019, it will be over 20%. While aging is rapidly progressing, elderly people are lacking of using safe and scientific muscular strengthening equipments. Most of the rehabilitation exercise systems, now being used, are from abroad. Early Prevention has not been done due to the lack of exercise system for elderly people. The biggest proportion of domestic patients are accounted for knee joint problems and the associated health care costs are increasing each year. As well as domestic, overseas market for degenerative arthritis according to aging, is growing rapidly. In addition, the major cause of falling among elderly people, is left and right musculoskeletal imbalance. - Major technology issue Electronic brake system which adjusts the exercise intensity through precise calibration and mechanism, and measures rotational angular velocity with torque, can be applied to advanced rehabilitation equipment and training systems.

1) Technical characteristics - Precise load control technology A new mechanism of direct power transmission structure can control exercise intensity percisely and also can set correct load standards through simple calibration. - Measurements of crank's rotational angular velocity, torque, and power The location of left and right can be identified by measuring the interval of starting point and rotational movement point. In addition, the rotation angle of left and right and angular velocity can be measured by using 60 degrees crank angle sensor. Torque can be calculated by measuring the strain of sensor. Through measuring torque and the rotation angular velocity, rotational angular power can be calculated. 2) The Advantages of Technology Products - Improvement on the performance of measuring exercise load intensity The existing contact area had structural problems between the wire and the delivery area so its performance to measure the exercise tolerence was limited. This technology can control greater exercise tolerence due to the mechanism which is not affected by the limit of wire tension. - Precise Control over Exercise Tolerence Exercise tolrence mesurement technology had an impact on control the exercise tolerence due to the existing wire tension. This direct power delievery technology is able to control the exercise precisely by using point contact system. - Setting Exercise Tolerence Followed by Each Rotational Angle This technology can set up personalized exercise tolerence at certain angle so it helps the rehabilitation patients to recover quickly. Furthermore, it can be applied to training for improving the records. - Measurement of Personalized Exercise Tolerence Joint training exercise or rehabilitation exercise are mostly regular and continuous training with given exercise tolerence. However, this technology can measure personalized exercise tolerence by measuring angular velocity of crank rotation and torque. - Setting up Personalized Exercise Tolerence on Left and Right Side This Technology measures left and right side's muscular strength and endurance and it also analyzes comparatively so the personalized exercise tolerence can be set on each left and right side.
