Preparation method of GABA by fermentation of seaweed SphereFunctional Material Summary In order to practical industrialization, we established two institutes which are Marine Plants Fermentation and New Functional Materials. These two labs do performance of the key roles that search new strains for fermentation with macrophytes and develop the fermentation method using new and old strains. Then we exploit a novel field of new functional materials. Remarkable Especially, in case of Namarin SLH-1 including a lot of GABA(gamma aminobutyric acid), we removed a fishy smell with ultrafiltration and fermentation process that has fermented with Lactobacillus brevis BJ20(KCTC 11377BP). Fucose, forming by fermentation from Fucoidan, low molecular weight saccharides, algic minerals and a variety of biological active compounds are featrues of this product.
