• Recognition of healthcare R&D as a key pillar of the creative economy, including the designation of the health industry as a future growth industry within national policy agendas → Need to expand support for research-oriented hospitals and increase R&D funding, taking into account the Health and Medical Technology Promotion Act and national policy initiatives
• Need to support the creation of a research ecosystem, including the establishment of a virtuous-cycle collaboration system among industry, academia, research institutes, and hospitals, as outlined in the “Inter-ministerial Mid- to Long-term R&D Plan for Public Health.”
