Introducing our "Smart Hospital Project"
Project Objectives
- To provide support for the development and demonstration of smart hospital models at medical institutions, creating advanced cases for both medical institutions and companies
Project Details
Identifying Support Areas
- Identify areas suitable for smart hospital support and provide medical institutions with long-term policy directions
- Categorize smart hospital service models into three types (medical professionals, patients, and medical institutions), prioritizing the models based on urgency and development stages
* Support areas to be determined through in-house research, feedback from relevant academic and industry associations, and expert discussions
Support for smart hospital model Creation
- To support the selected medical institutions to build smart hospital models by evaluating the suitability, innovation, and feasibility of models that can address the current status and issues in the support area
- Eligibility for Support
Medical institutions (consortium) selected through open competition in support areas.
- Funding Amount
Up to KRW 1 billion* per medical institution (consortium) (with a requirement for private sector contributions of over 50% of the total project cost)

From 2020 to 2025 (continued project to annual budgeting)
- Support details
Provide funding for expenses required in the project plan proposed by medical institutions (consortium) to develop leading smart hospital models
Demonstration
- Organically link the development of smart hospital models with demonstration
- Formulate detailed demonstration plans (including indicators and verification methods) from at the development stage of smart hospital models and monitor execution of the plans
Project Operation
- For efficient project operation and discussions on collaborative matters, working-level consultative bodies are organized and operated. Further, performance indicators for project executing entities of support areas are managed.
