India’s 「 Bangalore India Bio 2014 」 Joint Even Held in the West

 

The main event ‘CEO Conclave’ of Bangalore India Bio 2014 (BIB) organized by Korea Health Industry Development Institute (Director Jung Seok Lee) together with India’s Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Technology Services (KBITS) and India’s largest bio-pharmaceutical company BIOCON hosted ‘CEO Conclave’ from February 10 th to the 12 th in Bangalore, India.

 

Bangalore India Bio 2014, South Asia’s largest bio-pharmaceutical conference, held its first event of the conference ‘CEO Conclave’, which was attended by the BIB organizers the Minister of Karnataka state and prominent pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, which consisted of 300 leading manufacturers for the large-scale networking event.

 

South Korea’s Export and Opportunity Promotion director Yang Woo Kim stated, “BIB 2014 is the convergence of IT and BT which presents the mission of South Korea. It creates a future for the cooperation of a creative economy. In becoming a global leader in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, a creative economy is essential in fostering the Health Industry Development Institute”. Kim proposed a model to its attendees, a future look at the benefits of both India and South Korea in the health and biotechnology industry. He presented his key points of promoting Korea’s excellence in the field of pharmaceutical development and biotechnology.

 

India agreed with South Korea’s vision. KBITS Minister Shiri Patil supported Korea’s view of collaboration. He stated, “India looks forward to continuing our cooperative relationship in the bio-technology field” and hopes this event will promote BIO Korea 2014 for more participants from India. BIOCON’s representative Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw also showed his support by saying, “We have high hopes in the partnership with South Korea. India wishes to expand its areas of cooperation and exchange with South Korea. We see a bright future joining powers with Korea’s supreme biotechnology and medical industry”.
